Stirrer

Overhead stirrers are mixers that are widely used in laboratories to mix viscous and non-viscous liquids, unlike magnetic stirrers, they do not use a magnet, but an electric motor. Different types of stirring rods can be coupled to this to obtain the desired stirring power.

The advantage of overhead stirrers is that they have more power than magnetic stirrers and can therefore mix thicker and viscous liquids.

Overhead stirrers are widely used in the laboratory industry. Different types of stirring rods are available, namely metal, glass and PTFE (Teflon)

A sturdy tripod is required for mounting an overhead stirrer.
