Platinum plated on copper electrode, Set of 2

This electrode is recommended as the counter electrode in CV test and as the cathode in electrolysis.

The two electrodes 'platinum foil' and 'platinum plated on ceramic' provide higher durability and are recommended as anode in electrolysis under harsh solution condition.



Customers are advised to use the platinum plated electrodes primarily as a cathode for preparative organic reactions or as a counter electrode for CV acquisition. In addition, it is recommended that CV experiments are carried out within a reasonable potential window (e.g. -2.5 to +2.5 volts).
IKA offers a platinum foil electrode which may be a more suitable anode for preparative organic reactions.
